Esplanade Hotel

Message: The only thing that I noticed that was a little odd were the wonky irregular floors. The rest of the hotel was just what we needed. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The breakfast was well prepared and with great choices. The bar was also well stocked with some great locally distilled gins and whisky. I would not hesitate to visit here again.

Message: We have just returned and we absolutely loved the hotel. Lady on reception (sorry didn't get her name) was extremely friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I had a single room with sea view (312) and was perfect. Room and en-suite were clean warm, bed was comfortable and have no complaints. The hotel itself is clean and all the staff were friendly. Car park was a definite advantage. Breakfast was lovely, great selection and again staff were amazing. I have no negatives at all to say about the hotel or the bar. I have stayed in a lot of hotels including 5* and I have to say this hotel exceeded expectations. Will definitely book again! Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay :).

Message: Clean room, gorgeous setting, you are literally across the road from the prom and the sea. We had a sea view room which was brilliant. The bathroom was clean and large, water was hot and a great shower. I didn't give full marks for the room because the plug sockets were lacking and they could do with air con for the summer when it's warm and close, however! There was a fan in the room which was a God send so big thanks to them for having that supplied in the room when we arrived. The welcome we got from reception was fab, a wonderful man, we did not get his name but he was a dote. And the receptionist in the morning was super helpful with our ferry booking. Really nice place to stay and very accommodating. We will be back.

Message: A good seafront hotel. Nice breakfast. Doesn't do dinners. Double room was spacious, but there was a big stain on the carpet. Friendly staff.

Message: Stayed for 2 nights. Really good rooms, comfortable and lovely atmosphere. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman called Daniel. Just a real nice guy and made us feel very welcomed and at home. The hotel is a simple place but its done well. Very low tempo but high care. Friendly staff everywhere and just a great relaxing experience.

Message: Myself and my partner have just returned from a lovely 3 night stay. The room was lovely with a beautiful Seaview. All of the staff team were brilliant and nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and very bright, the shower was also lovely. The choice of breakfast was also very nice. We will definitely return. Lynn and Duncan from Staffordshire.

Message: My first visit since the recent restoration. Absolutely amazing design and as I only called in for a quick look at the bar, that is my main topic. Really pleasant lady on reception looked after me extremely well and the visit was terrific. Superb hotel, tremendous position on the sea front and the decor fantastic. I will call again and having had a conversation with current guests, the accommodation was splendid for them. I will definitely recommend the Esplanade to family and visiting friends.

Message: We had a very pleasant 5 night stay. Hotel is in a good location close to pier and shops. Good choice at breakfast and it’s freshly cooked so nice and hot. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. Tea, coffee and milk etc. are topped up daily in room. Staff are lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.
